Named for the crown of scales wrapped around its dorsal fin, the Red Irish Lord can grow to be one of the largest sculpins found in the Salish Sea. Found amongst rocks and on clay walls the Red Irish Lords blends well with their surroundings. Well camouflaged, they lie in wait for their unsuspecting prey such as shrimp, crab, and small fish to mosey by within striking range.
