Red Rock Crab are common at many dive sites in the Salish Sea. Their red shell and black-tipped claws are key points for identification. Using their powerful claws, they crush the outer shell of barnacles and other crabs, as well as, pull apart dead fish for food. One of the Red Rock Crabs primary predators is the Giant Pacific Octopus.
