Lingcod are actually not a cod, but part of the Greenling family. They can grow to five feet and weigh over 80 lbs! Lingcod typically feed on octopus, crab, smaller lingcod, and bottom fish. Females tend to lay their styrofoam looking egg masses during the winter months, while the males aggressively guard the eggs until they hatch.
